Barrier Compliance Services (BCS) is a national professional services company specializing in the containment of fire, smoke, sound, water, and infection in buildings. BCS was founded in direct response to the growing complexity of code requirements, enforcement and inspections.  This changing environment has created additional risk and liability for building owners/managers, architects/engineers, general contractors, and trade contractors. Our services are market specific and include: assessments, inspections, design assistance, training, code consulting, professional installation and repairs as well as new construction. 

BCS has developed national agreements with companies who have asked us to leverage our existing expertise to manage and perform Parking Garage Maintenance projects to extend the life of their parking garages nationwide.  These services will include overall project management, self-performance of deck coatings, waterproofing, expansion joints, joint sealants, and carbon reinforcing as well as managing subcontractors in other areas such as structural concrete repair and MEP. 

Due to this demand, BCS is now seeking a Program Manager to help grow the division by acquiring new clients as well perform Estimating and Project Management to ensure the delivery of our initial projects.  This is an excellent opportunity for an Engineer, Business Developer or Estimator/Project Manager with parking garage maintenance experience to grow into a Divisional Executive role.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Business Development (50%) identify new clients across multiple offices and manage existing BCS relationships.
  • Participate in major client meetings (lead as required).
  • Estimating (25%) perform assessments, take offs, estimating, proposal submission, contract review, and client follow up to close the deal
  • On site assessments of current conditions prior to development of program scope
  • Project Management (25%) - project start-up, submittals, P&L, cost & revenue forecasting, change orders, material procurement, billings, closeout, field oversight, etc.
  • Leverage national resources with existing BCS managers across the country
  • Provide leadership and development of overall program
  • Manage opportunities within CRM software
  • Travel estimated at 2-3 nights a week, depending on location of projects

Experience and other Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Structural Engineering preferred, or equivalent relevant work experience
  • 4+ years' experience estimating/managing construction or maintenance projects for parking garages or similar structures
  • Experience with some of the following scopes of work: Waterproofing, Expansion Joints, Deck Coatings, Joint Sealants, or similar
  • Experience with PlanSwift or other on-screen takeoff software
  • Proficient in Microsoft software
  • Takes initiative to provide solutions
  • Ability to work within a team or on their own
